■Editor's Notes

In cancer therapy’s recent history, “cancer genomic medicine” and its base research “cancer genomics,” have been garnering attention. With gene-level knowledge, cancer genomic medicine can be used to identify effective therapies. Meanwhile, genome tests are expensive, and sensitive information, including patients’ personal and their relatives’ information, can be obtained from genome data. Therefore, these social issues should be considered. Sosei Vol. 45 arranged roundtable discussions with researchers who conduct cutting-edge research to discuss cancer genomics landscapes and use of its outcomes in human society. Talks not included in the magazine are posted on the Department of Computational Biology and Medical Sciences website. We hope that readers will enjoy the lively atmosphere of the discussions in both the paper magazine and on the web pages.
