Information on Research Student Program at the Graduate School

This page describes necessary information for applicants who are interested in studying at the Graduate School of Frontier Sciences, the University of Tokyo.
※"Research Students" study a specific research theme under a professor for one year. No credits or degrees will be awarded.

Graduate Research Student Program and Graduate International Research Student Program Application and Selection Schedule for the Entry in April 2024 - Graduate School of Frontier Sciences (GSFS), The University of Tokyo -

Graduate Research Student Program and Graduate International Research Student Program are a non-degree seeking program for those who wish to research on a specific subject under the supervision of a professor at the GSFS.

Please note that the application schedule is different for graduate research students and graduate international research students.

Graduate International Research Student Program Registration Period October 1, 2023 -
Nobember 9, 2023
Application Period October 1, 2023 -
Nobember 10, 5pm, 2023		 Applications are accepted at any time during the application period.
Selection Around the end of December, 2023
Selection Result Announcement As soon as the results are determined A certificate of admission will be sent to the successful candidates.
Admission Procedure Period February 28, 2024 -
March 1, 2024
