Introduction to the Center

The Life Science Data Research Center (LiSDaC) acquires big data from multi-layered measurements of life characteristics in many species from diverse environments, and systematically analyzes the information. We aim to contribute to the realization of sustainable ecosystems by elucidating the diversity of life and its evolution, and by developing engineering design technologies for life systems.

In today's world, there is a need to respond to various sustainability-related issues. The center will provide students with a full education in sustainability science, as well as recurrent education programs for people at work. Through its education programs, the center aims to develop human capacities and seek new ways to achieve sustainability.
