What is an Endowed course?

Endowed course is established for the purpose of advancing and enriching education and research at the University of Tokyo, with basic expenses covered by funds donated by individuals or organizations. Endowed courses respond to changes in social demands and other conditions related to academia, and to promote mobility, internationalization, interdisciplinarity, and openness in the education and research system.
