Scholarship for GSFS International Students

Application Deadline December 28 (Tue), 2021 by 16:00
Eligibility
(1) Privately funded international students who are the nationals of the following countries: Brunei, Cambodia, Indonesia, Laos, Malaysia, Myanmar, Philippines,  Singapore, Thailand, Vietnam.
(2) Those who will be completing their undergraduate/master's course at a designated university in March 2022,  and will be enrolled in a master's/doctoral course at GSFS in April 2022. Or undergrad/research students studying at UTokyo who will be enrolled in a master's course at GSFS in April 2022.
(3) Those whose study field is either social sciences or human studies.
(4) Those who are able to communicate in Japanese, and interested in international cultural exchange.
(5) Those who will not receive any other scholarships from April 2022.
(6) Those who can follow the rules as scholarship recipient.

Amount Amount:200,000 JPY/month
Duration: April 2022 - March 2024 (master)/ 2025 (doctoral course)

Apply To Applicants must submit the following documents to ILO via email. (ilo[at]edu.k.u-tokyo.ac.jp; replace [at] with @.)

(1) Application Form for Scholarship from private Foundations
(2) Transcript of your current course (or your previous course if you have not obtained any credits.)
(3) Copy of your residence card
(4) Copy of your student ID card or an admission certificate

Before submitting your application, be sure to read Steps to apply since scholarships with the University recommendation can not be declined.

An applicant who passed the GSFS internal screening will be required to submit other documents stated in the guideline.
