Supported by the Japan Science and Technology Agency (JST) under the BOOST initiative for young researchers and doctoral students in national strategic areas, the University of Tokyo’s project “Advanced AI Talent Development to Lead the Next-Generation AI for Intelligent Society (BOOST NAIS)” is open to all doctoral students (including those in 4-year doctoral programs) at the university.

We are now recruiting project participants who will enter the doctoral program in Autumn 2026.

Eligibility: 
Those who plan to enroll in the doctoral program (including four-year doctoral programs) at the University's graduate school in Autumn 2026 (including those currently applying).

Application Period:
July 13 (Mon) – July 29 (Wed), 2026, by 15:00 (JST)

Notification of Selection: 
September 3 (Thu), 2026

Number of places: 
Approximately 4
