Dear Students, Faculty members and Staffs

新領域創成科学研究科は、既存の個別学問分野から派生する未開拓の領域を研究・教育の対象として「学融合」を基本理念に、人類が解決を迫られている課題に取り組んでいます。この度、本研究科と同様のミッションを持つ海外、特にアジアの大学のトップマネジメントや、学融合研究を推進している世界的権威を招待し、新領域国際フォーラムを開催することとなりました。お互いに学融合研究の事例を紹介し、学融合型教育・研究の理念とマネジメント、将来の連携について議論します。興味のある教職員・学生は是非参加してください。

To construct a new interdisciplinary or transdisciplinary platform for science to solve the pressing issues facing humankind is essential, required is the sublimation of the disciplines more than depending on the interrelationships between them. This emerging new disciplinary framework has been coined “superdisciplinarity”.
To achieve this goal, we would firstly like to develop an alliance of world-class shared-mission schools, particularly in Asia. At this time, we are planning a forum to discuss how best to promote such superdisciplinary studies and to collaborate further more in the future.
