INTRODUCTION OF LABORATORY

Fabrication of new materials is one of the most interesting points in physics research. We fabricate high-quality and novel multilayer consisting of metals, dielectrics, and organic molecules by using thin-film deposition technique of semiconductor engineering. Specifically, we focus on properties of spin, which corresponds to angular momentum of electron rotation and only appears in nano-scale system. We fabricate quantum spintronics devices using metallic multilayer, organic ultrathin film, and topological quantum materials. Our purpose is to find a new physical properties and to develop it for electronic device applications.

FEEL IT INTERESTING, THEN WE CAN FIND NOVEL THINGS.

In graduate schools, we should do "world's first" thing which is not written in our textbook used in undergraduate school. When I was a graduate school students, I found many things with my research theme for spin current injection into novel materials. While the spintronics changes as the time goes, I am still in the research field because it is quite interesting. When we meets new phenomena, everything is confused. However, it important to transfer the i nformation to others. We should use the word which can be understood by other people. Without doing this, our findings cannot be a true one. For the research, it is important to do our best for everything. Once we learn how to obtain knowledge and how to use this, we can use this ability forever in our future life. Every time, my former teacher tries to make people around him happy. Reflecting this mind, I would like to make good environment for my graduate students and staff members.
