Dr. Shunsuke Kitou, Research Associate in the Department of Advanced Materials Science, won the 12th SPRUC Young Scientist Award for his research "Direct observation of electron orbitals using high-energy X-ray diffraction." and gave an award-winning lecture at the Spring-8 symposium on September 27, 2023.

SPRUC Young Scientist Award recognizes young scientists who make important contributions mainly to the development of utilization or analytical methods of Spring-8/SACLA.
