About Kashiwa City

The University of Tokyo Kashiwa Campus is located in the Kashiwa-no-ha District, Kashiwa City, Chiba Prefecture. Kashiwa-no-ha is home to multiple educational and research institutes, including the University of Tokyo. It continues developing into a smart city, collaborating with the municipality. Kashiwa City and Kashiwa-no-ha District have an abundant natural environment and commercial buildings and are convenient for getting around Tokyo by the Tsukuba Express railway, which was inaugurated in 2005.
