Directions to the Department

There are two main routes by public transportation: via Kashiwanoha-campus Station (Tsukuba Express) or via Kashiwa Station (JR).

1) Via TX Kashiwanoha-campus Station

The nearest station is “Kashiwanoha-campus” on the Tsukuba Express line. From the West Exit bus terminal, take one of the following buses:

• Tobu Bus to "流山おおたかの森駅東口行き" (Nagareyama-otakanomori Sta. East Exit), or to "江戸川台駅東口行き" (Edogawadai Sta. East Exit), or to "東大西行き" (UTokyo West). Get off at "東大前" (Todai-mae) (about 10 minutes). The main gate of Kashiwa Campus is in front of the bus stop.
• Campus shuttle bus to the University of Tokyo Kashiwa Campus. Get off at "基盤棟前" (Kibanto-mae) inside campus. The shuttle is free for students and visitors and runs mainly in the morning and evening. Details are available here.

2) Via JR Kashiwa Station

From JR Kashiwa Station West Exit (Bus Stop No. 2), take the bus bound for "柏の葉公園経由　国立がんセンター行き" (Kokuritsu Gan Center via Kashiwanoha Park) and get off at "東大前" (Todai-mae) (about 20–30 minutes).

From the main gate, the department offices and labs are in the “Kibanto” (基盤棟) on the left side straight ahead.

If you come by car, please obtain a parking permit at the main gate security office.
