The University of Tokyo, Kashiwa Campus
The University of Tokyo is the oldest university in Japan, which was established in 1877, and has one of the most active international exchange programs of any university.
The Academic Exchange agreements with more than 170 universities all over the world. In the school year of 2003, approximately 8000 researchers had academic exchanges about research and education between the University of Tokyo and universities from all over the world.
The University of Tokyo accepts numerous exchange students from all over the world.
As of May 1. 2005, the University of Tokyo has 2,170 Foreign Exchange Students and had an academic exchange of researchers were 10,100 the school year of 2004.
The University of Tokyo has 10 Faculties, 15 Graduate Schools and 11 Institutes, and many research education facilities. 7,600 people are working there.
There are 3 campuses, which are Hongo, Komaba and Kashiwa.
At Kashiwa Campus, there is a Graduate School of Frontier Sciences, two institutes, which are the Institute for Cosmic Ray Research and the Institute for Solid State Physics, and 4 Research Centers, including the High Temperature Plasma Center and the Center for Spatial Information Science and library. Presently, 160 Exchange Students and Researchers study at the Kashiwa Campus.

Center for Environment, Health and Field Sciences, Chiba University
Chiba University has 9 Faculties, including Faculty for Letters, Education, Law & Economics, Science and Medicine, and a Graduate School with 6 Postgraduate Courses and 2 Research Institutes and Chiba University Library and Chiba University Hospital.
Presently, there are 14,700 undergraduate and graduate students, and more than 1,200 people are working. The scale and contents are in the top of the new system national universities.
838 in 14,700 are Foreign Exchange Students and Researchers (as of November 1, 2005).
Chiba University's campuses are located in 3 areas, which are Nishi Chiba, Inohana and Matsudo and Kashiwa no Ha. Most of the facilities are in the Main Campus in Nishi Chiba area.
There are School of Medicine, Nursing and Chiba University Hospital in Inohana area in Chiba City, faculty of Horticulture and Center for Environment, Health and Field Sciences are in Matsudo Kashiwa no Ha area.
The Center for Environment, Health and Field Sciences, Chiba University, is located in front of Kashiwa no Ha Campus Station. This is a research facility incorporating many fields, such as Horticulture, Medicine, Pharmaceutical Science, Nursing, Education and Engineering. Study about health, environmental preservation, safety, etc. and help for the medical care and welfare.
